This year Sid & I are doing something a little more than our usual “put your money where your mouth is” stance on our Lions takes. Which allows me to introduce to you… The Take-ulator.

We were spot on with nearly all of our bets & predictions last season, so we’re gonna take it to the next level and actually track the accuracy of what we’re saying to you. Here’s how it works:

• Every blog post, tweet, & podcast episode will be reviewed for “takes” after they are released to the public.
• A “take” will be classified as any statement that can be proven as right or wrong in the future.
• Every week we will update the “Take Accuracy” using the Take-ulator, to show if we’re full of shit or prove we know ball.
• The Take-ulator can be found on the blog’s home page

Starting off… (odds are accurate to time article is posted using DraftKings Sportsbook)

• Lions ML – 210
  • Rams lost some production in offseason and with injuries, we won with booty secondary last year which is now improved, look for same result.

• Jameson Williams anytime TD +205
  • Jamo has only grown in size and maturity this offseason and has finally had a full offseason with JG to work together. Look for them to be as one in the passing game, with Saint attracting the majority of the defense’s attention.

• Gibbs over 20.5 receiving yards -113
  • Troy Reeder and company will have their hands full with Johnson’s scheme and Gibbs’ ability to make people miss. Holmes & DC have said multiple times in the offseason they want to grow Gibbs’ role in the offense. One big play is all it takes for this to pop.

• Hutch over 0.25 sacks -120
  • Without a starting OT and possibly playing the other one injured, Hutch should have a dominant game as he makes his case for defensive player of the year.

• Corum under 24.5 rushing yards
  • Rookie Corum in his first game will back up Kyren Williams and serve as the punt returner, playing in his college state but we think the stout Lions run defense will prevent either RB from having big day. DJ Reader working inside with Alim McNeil, along with veteran Alex Anzalone should be able to stuff the run effectively.
• Total Parlay odds without Hutch bet (DK does not allow defensive props in parlays) +1100. FEED YOUR FAMILY. These will be played straight up, and parlayed together for the ultimate 100% accuracy reward.
