This year Sid & I are doing something a little more than our usual “put your money where your mouth is” stance on our Lions takes. Which allows me to introduce to you… The Take-ulator.

We were spot on with nearly all of our bets & predictions last season, so we’re gonna take it to the next level and actually track the accuracy of what we’re saying to you.

Here’s how it works:

Every blog post, tweet, & podcast episode will be reviewed for “takes” after they are released to the public.

A “take” will be classified as any statement that can be proven as right or wrong in the future.

Every week we will update the “Take Accuracy” using the Take-ulator, to show if we’re full of shit or prove we know ball.

The Take-ulator can be found on the blog’s home page

Starting off… (odds are accurate to time article is posted using DraftKings Sportsbook)

Lions Alternate Spread -9.5 -181

The Lions, coming off of their worst game this season (even worse than the Bucs game), will look get right against a Jags team that is down BAD. Without starting QB Trevor Lawrence, the Lions will face Mac Jones in a significantly less challenging contest than last week. Lions may win by 30+ again today.

Jahmyr Gibbs Anytime TD scorer -145

Gibbs led the team in rushing last week in Houston, and this week feels a lot like the Titans week, where Jahmyr popped a 70 yard TD on a big day. The Jags rush defense is 21st in the league, giving up 11 TDs on the ground so far. Jah will add to that today.

Jared Goff 225+ Passing Yards -130

Jared Goff Over 1.5 Passing TDs -135

Goff had not only his worst performance as a Lion last week, but the worst showing of his entire career in Houston. We still won. Jared will be playing with a chip on his shoulder today against a bad Jaguars defense, the Lions are not going to let their foot off the gas and will let Jared get back going again. Goff bounce back game incoming.

Tim Patrick over 15.5 Receiving Yards -110

Vegas continues to disrespect Timmy P! Patrick, who filled in the WR3 spot this year has been used sparingly yes, but Goff’s trust grows in him every week. Timmy is starting to get the 1 on 1 shots regularly when Goff sees him. Two catches or one big play is all this needs to hit.
