This year Sid & I are doing something a little more than our usual “put your money where your mouth is” stance on our Lions takes. Which allows me to introduce to you… The Take-ulator.
We were spot on with nearly all of our bets & predictions last season, so we’re gonna take it to the next level and actually track the accuracy of what we’re saying to you.
Here’s how it works:
Every blog post, tweet, & podcast episode will be reviewed for “takes” after they are released to the public.
A “take” will be classified as any statement that can be proven as right or wrong in the future.
Every week we will update the “Take Accuracy” using the Take-ulator, to show if we’re full of shit or prove we know ball.
The Take-ulator can be found on the blog’s home page
Starting off… (odds are accurate to time article is posted using DraftKings Sportsbook)

Lions -6.5 Alternate Spread -142
Make no mistake, this week has “trap game” written all over it. Lions, with the exception of a few games, have been comfortably cruising to wins all season. The Colts, fresh after their 2nd starting QB change putting Anthony Richardson back in the line up, are 5-6 needing this win much more badly than us for playoff purposes. With that being said, the Lions remain the NFL’s only undefeated team on the road and that will stay today. Lions probably win by double digits again, but 7 points is the good bet here.

David Montgomery Anytime TD Scorer -205
This Lions rushing attack looks unstoppable this season. We have yet to see somebody shut down Gibbs & Monty this year, and it sure won’t be the Colts to do it first. The Colts boast nothing special on defense, the Lions will have their entire playbook wide open today. Monty is a red zone favorite to get the ball and push his way into the end zone, he’ll notch another one of those scores today.

Jared Goff 225+ Passing Yards -230
Jared Goff Over 1.5 Passing TDs -145
After his worst game as a Lion in Houston, Jared Goff bounced back in a huge way (like we said he would) throwing for over 400 yards and 4 TD’s. Goff is making his MVP case churning out stellar performances left & right this year. As fore mentioned, this Colts defense isn’t anything special. Goff clears these lines easy today.

Jameson Williams 40+ Receiving Yards -140
Jameson Williams Over 2.5 Receptions -170
Jamo had a monster game last week, snagging 4 catches for 124 yards and a TD. While 4 catches is a modest volume no doubt, it’s worth noting Amon-Ra St. Brown had 11 catches that same day. Kenny Moore hasn’t allowed a TD in coverage all year, and he’ll likely shadow Saint the majority of the game. The Lions’ go to matchup today should be Jamo over the Colt’s CB2.

Lions Total Points Over 27.5 -148
The talk from national media this week was, “is this Lions offense the best of all time”? Answer: yes. Going up against a mid opponent like the Colts isn’t going to change that, 4 touchdowns from the Lions should be all but guaranteed today.
