This year Sid & I are doing something a little more than our usual “put your money where your mouth is” stance on our Lions takes. Which allows me to introduce to you… The Take-ulator.

We were spot on with nearly all of our bets & predictions last season, so we’re gonna take it to the next level and actually track the accuracy of what we’re saying to you.

Here’s how it works:

Every blog post, tweet, & podcast episode will be reviewed for “takes” after they are released to the public.

A “take” will be classified as any statement that can be proven as right or wrong in the future.

Every week we will update the “Take Accuracy” using the Take-ulator, to show if we’re full of shit or prove we know ball.

Lions ML -180

The Lions managed to get a W in Lambeau earlier this year while missing Jamo to suspension. Both teams now toting phenomenal records, add in the rivalry bad blood, St Brown’s “Green Bay Sucks” hoodie, and we have ourselves an absolute war tonight. The Lions are severely depleted on defense, but the best offense in the world will out score Green Bay and win tonight’s shootout.

David Montgomery anytime TD scorer -165

Detroit’s backfield has been incredible this season. The Lions will need to score plenty tonight, and with Gibbs having the better stretch the last few weeks, we think it’s time for Monty to pop his head out again and go off. Lions red zone offense is their strength, Monty will be getting his chances to pound one in.

Jared Goff over 1.5 passing touchdowns -125

Lions team total points over 27.5 -115

As fore mentioned, tonight will be an amazing game to watch. Points everywhere. Lions stellar offense against an okay Packers defense, and Packers offense against a severely injured Lions defense. We’re betting on the boys to get the W today, and that only happens if we score more points (groundbreaking analysis). The Packers will score at least 21 on us, forcing the Lions to this line if they were to win. The run game has been the focal point lately for the Lions, Jared will have to get involved in scoring too to get this team over the hump tonight.

Sam LaPorta 25+ receiving yards -275

The Packers most comfortable formation on defense is leaving star safety Xavier McKinney alone in a single high formation. For you brand new ball knowers out there, that means they’re only leaving one guy back deep as their last line of defense regularly. The Lions exploited this look in the first game, clearing that safety out on decoy routes & gouging Green Bay with underneath passes. That was without Jamo. Jamo is the “clear out better have your safety run with me” KING, Green Bay will be paying plenty of attention to the Motown Comet, leaving Laporta & St Brown to do their dirt underneath. Edge goes to LaPorta for finally getting in groove with Goff the last few weeks.
