This year Sid & I are doing something a little more than our usual “put your money where your mouth is” stance on our Lions takes. Which allows me to introduce to you… The Take-ulator.

We were spot on with nearly all of our bets & predictions last season, so we’re gonna take it to the next level and actually track the accuracy of what we’re saying to you.

Here’s how it works:

Every blog post, tweet, & podcast episode will be reviewed for “takes” after they are released to the public.

A “take” will be classified as any statement that can be proven as right or wrong in the future.

Every week we will update the “Take Accuracy” using the Take-ulator, to show if we’re full of shit or prove we know ball.

Lions ML -148

The boys in Honolulu blue are coming off a tough win against a heavyweight opponent, right into another one today. Bills QB Josh Allen went god mode last week, posting 6 TDs in a LOSS. Advantage? Lions. Hard to recreate a 40 point effort on the road knowing that’s still not enough to win, the Lions are coming off an extra 3 days of rest and will use the fresh legs to wear Buffalo down and hand them their 2nd straight loss.

Saint hasn’t scored in basically a month, since the ass whooping we gave Jacksonville on 11/17. Today’s game is the top 2 offenses in the league, both teams have top 10 defenses… the type of game where you put the ball in the hands of your best player. Saint is due for a tuddy and if this game remains close as predicted, Jared will be looking for him all 60 minutes.

Jared Goff 2+ passing TDs -145

The Lions will have to keep up with the Bills high powered offense if we want to win this game. We’ve already determined that Saint is gonna hit half of this prop for us. In a huge game where Ben Johnson will show his creativity, we’ll have to bring more than the Monty/Gibbs goal line dives to the table. The Lions will need 2 passing touchdowns and then some today to bring home the W.

Jameson Williams over 3.5 receptions -165

Jamo’s first game wearing the black uniforms he had 2 catches for 80 yards and a TD. Jamo since then has become more relied on in the offense, and isn’t so much the “home run” every time now. Jamo is getting targets in crucial moments now, hauling in contested catches and gaining trust. In a game where Goff dictates the flow, Jamo clears this line easy.

Buffalo Bills team points under 28.5

As we said before, the Bills put up 42 last week and it wasn’t enough. As a player, that’s a giant kick in the balls. It will be extremely difficult in this environment to replicate that offensive output, not to mention our defense is on fire. The pundits seem to have the magic number as “first to 24 wins” this game, so give yourself a little insurance and go under 28.5 here.
