Last year we went 44-16 on our Lions predictions, and tracked the result of every one.
Here’s how it works:
Every blog post, tweet, & podcast episode will be reviewed for “takes” after they are released to the public.
A “take” will be classified as any statement that can be proven as right or wrong in the future.
Every week we will update the “Take Accuracy” using the Take-ulator, to show if we’re full of shit or prove we know ball.
The Take-ulator can be found on the blog’s home page.
Starting off… (odds are accurate to time article is posted using DraftKings Sportsbook)

Detroit Lions -7.5 -103
Taking the alternate spread to get even money here, you could honestly play this up to -9.5 as the Lions should take care of business comfortably today. There is no doubt Detroit’s offense is going to score points, and with a healthy defensive front 7 and new additions to the pass rush they should keep 2nd year QB Tyler Shough in check. You also can’t pass up the fact that the Lions are one of the toughest teams to beat in the league while at Ford Field, the energy of a home opener can’t be matched.

Jared Goff 220+ Passing Yards -317
This prop is pretty much a lock and to be used to boost any parlay. A re-tooled Detroit OL going against a Saints defensive front without Cam Jordan today. With the defense’s attention assumedly prioritizing stopping the Gibbs show, JG will spread the ball around to his many playmakers today and easily cross this mark.

Sam LaPorta Anytime TD Scorer +180
LaPorta went off for 140 yards in his rookie season the last time we played the Saints. He may not reach that yardage total today with all the mouths to feed, but look for him to at least catch a RZ bullet from #16.

Jamo Anytime TD Scorer +165
The last meeting against the Saints, we were blessed with Jamo’s Superman touchdown and all the memes that followed. The Lions speedster has been praised for his growth and work ethic over this offseason, and will kick this year off with a bang (and a touchdown).
